Transfer Specialist

Assists clients in the successful completion of transferring cash and/or assets in or out of New Direction Trust Company. This dynamic role will involve collaboration with clients, sponsors, and internal stakeholders. By overseeing transfers and adhering to IRS guidelines, regulations, and internal policies and procedures, you will play a critical role in NDTCO’s growth and success.  

This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Client Success. This is a hybrid working role that will require both remote work and in-office work.  The ability to commute to Louisville, Colorado is required.

  •  Review and process client requests for Incoming Rollovers, Transfers In and Transfers Out, including cash, in-kind, internal, and public asset transfers
  • Contact clients, asset sponsors, depositories, or other custodians as necessary via phone, fax, email, overnight, and mail to complete the transfer or rollover process as requested
  • Obtain medallion stamps as needed to process transfer documents and comply with external guidelines
  • Work as a team and with other members of NDTCO staff to resolve compliance issues and continuously improve processes
  • Perform research that would identify any issues that would prevent NDTCO from taking an asset in-kind
  • Managers and completes service requests in our CRM while updating and maintaining the account with any necessary notation or documentation
  • May be required to help with special projects from time to time that generally relate to transfers, compliance, and/or data analysis
  • Generate and review transfer reporting as required by management


  • 1+ years in accounting, financial services, or customer service
  • Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications
  • Competent business writing and phone skills
  • Accurate with data entry
  • Self-motivated and organized with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to actively participate in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fluid environment

  • Measured by quality and quantity of daily tasks completed
  • Measured by the accuracy of data entered
  • Measured based upon the response of clients; their return correspondence and transfers completed
  • Measured based upon feedback from the Senior Manager of Client Success, working peers within the Transfers team, and company

Education and Experience

  • 1+ years in accounting, financial services, or customer service  
  • Experience with Oracle CX Cloud or a similar CRM platform preferred 
  • High School diploma or relevant work experience
