The Financial Operations Director will be a core part of New Direction’s Operations team, overseeing all operational aspects of client finance and funding activities and maintaining the pulse of all clients financial transaction activity, such as incoming transfers and distributions. The Director will work closely with other functions such as Compliance, Corporate Finance, Client Relations, Marketing, Legal and HR. This role reports to New Direction’s Chief Operating Officer and is located in Louisville, CO.  Some onsite work is required; therefore you must be located within the local area.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial operations for client investing through management of multiple domain area teams, including client asset accounting and cash movement activities, incoming and outgoing asset transfers, and account reconciliation functions.
  • Oversee and maintain multiple banking relationships.
  • Develop and implement best practices to support client finance operations.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement by reviewing company policies and procedures and advising management on potential risks and solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally to help drive key system initiatives, system improvements and process enhancements.
  • Lead and develop direct reports in their professional careers.
  • Ensures compliance with accounting procedures through observation, supervision and testing.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8+ years bank operations or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort with large data volume
  • Strong communication skills, leadership aptitude, and attention to detail
  • Excellent managerial skills and ability to evaluate the work of others
  • Working knowledge of organizations applicable financial practices and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of state and federal rules and regulations
  • Proficient with accounting software

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, in Accounting or Finance
