We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role is located in Louisville, CO. Some onsite work is required; therefore, you must be located within the local area.
The Corporate Accountant reports to the CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Reconcile corporate accounts, investigate discrepancies
- Reconcile trust banking accounts and assist with daily client funding process
- Assist with preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Monitor and manage cash flow and provide regular reports on financial performance
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Participate in examinations and provide support to regulators
- Provide ad-hoc support to other company staff members
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or equivalent certification a plus
